It can be easy to forget about the wealth of food that grows all around us. Come out and learn about edible plants that call our region home in this Village Vancouver workshop. Lori Snyder from the Metis Nation will discuss how to identify and harvest wild, edible, and medicinal plants in an ethical way. Please dress appropriately for the weather. A seed library will be present – you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds. (Please come a little early.) Join West End Neighbourhood Food Network and Village Vancouver at our monthly family friendly gatherings. Bring something yummy and share some good food and conversation with neighbours. We’ll have a seed library there – you can get some free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds or plants. Each month we present a mini-workshop on a different food and/or gardening related topic – this month we’ll be exploring Winter Veggies.

The Food Network’s WE Seniors Garden Club meets after the workshop. Join us in exploring possibilities for creating a new community garden and other gardening spaces in the West End. We will also be organizing food and gardening workshops and other activities. All ages welcome!
