Event Description:
Join West End Neighbourhood Food Network and Village Vancouver at our monthly family friendly gathering. Bring something yummy and share some good food and conversation with neighbours. We’ll have a seed library there – you can get some free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds or plants. This month the potluck mini-workshop will discuss Pollinators.

The Food Network’s WE Urban Garden Club meets from 2:30-3:30 after the potluck/workshop. Join us in exploring possibilities for creating a new community garden and other gardening spaces in the West End. This month’s topic, presented by our WeBee group, is Creating a Pollinator Corridor in the West End. We’ll also hear from our Seed Savers group, and discuss potential new workshops and activities. All ages welcome!

The Canadian government is considering a nationwide ban on one of the most deadly bee-killing chemicals in the world! Canada’s Ministry of Health is taking public comments before it makes its final decision in three weeks. The pesticide industry has promised to fight hard to stop it — so we need to add our voices now.
