This Village Vancouver- WE Neighbourhood Food Network workshop with Rhiannon Johnson covers the basics of planning, preparing, and planting a bountiful Spring veggie garden, including simple techniques for starting plants indoors and in the garden, tailored to your space. We’ll discuss annuals, biennials, and perennials, pollinator-friendly plants and gardens, companion planting, and permaculture. Includes a hands-on planting activity — you’ll take home a pot of planted seeds to help you get a head start on your garden this spring. Advance registration encouraged.
We’ll have the West End community seed library there – pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds or plants.
