“DIY” Accessories for Miniature Gardens
Miniature gardens are tiny green spaces that brighten up our surroundings. They can be made more cheerful by adding accessories. In this West End Neighbourhood Food Network workshop with Rashmi GC you’ll learn about cute DIY projects that can be added to your mini gardens. All raw materials will be provided, and participants will have the opportunity to make an accessory and take it home. West End Community Potluck, mini-workshop (Pollinators) and West End Urban Garden Club (Creating a pollinator corridor in the West End)

We’ll have a seed library there – you can get some free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds or plants. This month the potluck mini-workshop will discuss Pollinators.
The Food Network’s WE Urban Garden Club meets from 2:30-3:30 after the potluck/workshop. Join us in exploring possibilities for creating a new community garden and other gardening spaces in the West End. This month’s topic, presented by our WeBee group, is Creating a Pollinator Corridor in the West End. We’ll also hear from our Seed Savers group, and discuss potential new workshops and activities. All ages welcome!

Find out what types of plants will support our local bees and keep them buzzing in our balconies and garden – even the smallest green spaces can make a difference!
The new WENFN-GNH-VV community seed library will be present, and you’ll be able to get some free seeds – including pollinator attractant seeds – for your garden, or swap or donate seeds.
